How to form it
The présent of tu, nous and vous, without the subject. Finis, finissons, finissez.
Pitfalls
- With -er verbs the s of tu drops: parle !, not parles !. The same goes for va ! (aller).
- Exception: before y and en the s comes back: vas-y !, manges-en !
- Irregular: sois, soyons, soyez (être), aie, ayons, ayez (avoir), sache (savoir), veuillez (vouloir).
- In a negative the pronoun goes before the verb: dis-le but ne le dis pas.
